A Real Live Crawler
This is how I found my lil' Andi Mae this morning when I came back from running up to the school. In one weekend we went from army crawler to coordinated, up-on-all-4s crawling AND pulling up! I was going to update my blog on Saturday morning because I had committed to this new blogging thing, but I didn't have much to update. Wouldn't you know just a couple of hours after that we had a real live crawler in our house! I can't believe how quickly things have changed. When I found her that way this morning I wanted to go in there and sweep her in my arms and celebrate, but I have a stomach bug which has disabled me for the past 24 hours, thus why I'm home sick today. I haven't gotten to be close to my girl since Sunday and it's killing me!

Andi Mae's Firsts
So my teacher friend Valerie has been kindly reminding me that I am the slowest blogger EVER! Contrary to the latest post, I am no longer preggo and in reality the bun in the oven is now 8 months old! Andrew thinks my new years resolution should be to blog once a week this year. We'll see how good I do!
Andi Mae had so many firsts this Christmas... her first blizzard, her visit from Santa, her first plane ride, and her first ski trip! She didn't actually make it to the slopes, but enjoyed her warm cozy days in the condo, or riding like a marsupial on her dad's chest carrier. Check out our great winter adventure pics and I will look forward to posting again... hopefully next week! Let's keep our fingers crossed!

39 weeks and 3 days
Andi Mae is due on May 15th - this Friday! Did I mention we close on our home May 15? I don't know how it is all going to work out. We are supposed to be moved out this week, by Friday! Obviously, I can't do a whole lot, so we are calling all hands on deck to make the move and quickly! All I want is a bed for me and my little Moses basket for Andi Mae, and everything else will be alright. I have had to give up the ideal scario of bringing my new little baby home from the hospital to a beautiful new nursery. That dream will go unfulfilled. But, I look forward to fixing up the nursery as soon as we can move in. I just have this feeling she won't arrive this week anyway, so maybe I will have time to get some things done. I feel like I will forever live in a state of pregnacy. THIS BABY IS NEVER COMING OUT!

Spring Break 2009
I love Spring Break!
Andrew and I are working on the nursery... finally! We have been putting it off till the last minute hoping to sell our house, but that's not happening. So, now we are working hard to get everything ready so we can finally enjoy it before a baby comes to live in it. Andrew painted the room Robin's Egg Blue and gave the trim a fresh coat of white to make it look clean and new again. A lady I work with made the bedding for Andi Mae's crib. She finished it and brought it over today and it is BEAUTIFUL! (If my digital camera wasn't broken I'd post a picture:( ) Janice is so talented and it turned out better than I had pictured in my head, which is awesome because sometimes my mind's eye creates things that are very hard to translate into reality. We have a round crib which is very unusual. So, the bedding had to be unique, just like our daughter. I can already tell that the crib quilt is going to be an heirloom I keep forever. Fitted crib sheets are hard to find for a round crib. You can't just go to the store and buy them. So, I did some searching online today to find just the right one. Well, I did, but it was $27, which wasn't bad, but then the shipping was $20. So, I didn't get it. I ended up finding one at jcpenney.com that was $20 and the shipping was $11. I bit the bullet and did it. I mean, we have to have sheets right? I ordered a changing table today from target.com. So, in all, I think I spend more money at home when I am out of school than if I was consuming my time with working. Work is good for me, but I love Spring Break so much!
Andrew is out in the garage right now working on project number 2... Andi Mae's clothes armoire. I tend to convert closets into creative cubby spaces, so her closet is not being used for hanging up clothes like traditional closets are used for. Which then forced a new creative piece of furniture for her clothes. But, I love the unorthodox way we do things sometimes.
So, we are making some progress now. It's about time!

My Pregnancy at 11 weeks
SNOW DAYS and SHOWERS
Snow days are wonderful days when you are a teacher, and pregnant! I have enjoyed three unexpected days off and it has been glorious! The best part is, I won't have to worry about making them up because I will be on maternity leave in May! Yesterday, I took the opportunity to take advantage of my time off and plan a baby shower for one of my best friends, who is having triplets! A bunch of ladies came over in the ice and snow and we had lemon muffins, brownies, and sweet tea and made tons of plans! I was amazed at how much we accomplished! It was so much fun. I mean, how often do you get to plan a shower for someone having triplets! I can't reveal any of the specifics at this time because it's a secret. But if you are friends of Kami, mark your calendar for March 7th, 2-4p.m. You don't want to miss this shower! It is going to be fantastic!
